The Pioneer Woman’s teenage daughter is attending a Christian summer camp just three months after she was arrested for consuming and possessing alcohol in public, RadarOnline.com can report.
RadarOnline.com broke the story that Ree Drummond's 19-year-old daughter Paige, 19, was arrested on April 12 for public intoxication and possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age in her native Oklahoma. Now, it appears the Food Network star’s wild child is either being punished or wants to change her ways by attending a Christian summer camp away from home!
Paige took to Instagram earlier this month to announce that she was headed away to a Christian summer camp for an entire month.
“hello friends!! today i (sic) am filled with so much joy and so much excitement because the Lord has called me to work at kanakuk kamps this month! pray that His kingdom is glorified and that hearts are pointed to Jesus! i will be there until august 9th so i would LOVE to hear from y’all :) #writeme” Ree’s daughter wrote on the photo sharing platform.
Kanakuk Kamps are located in Missouri. Paige is working at a camp specifically aimed for teenagers “so that they can return to the tough world of teens refreshed physically, emotionally, and spiritually,” the website states.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Paige was placed into handcuffs in April after officers alleged in a report that she appeared “in a drunken condition” in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was also found in possession of an open container of beer, court records obtained by RadarOnline.com explained.
The shocking boozy arrest has since been expunged by the court. However, the popular food blogger’s teenage daughter paid a total of $404.50 in court fees for the alleged crimes.
Although it isn’t clear if Paige decided to go to the summer camp on her own, the teen admitted she was enjoying herself far away from home.
“This past week at kamp has been filled with pure joy!! Jesus fills this place up and works through these people in such amazing ways! 3 more weeks let’s goo (sic) :)” she captioned an Instagram photo on July 20.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Ree’s oldest daughter, Alex Marie Drummond, also had a run-in with the law. In 2017, Alex had a warrant out for her arrest after she skipped a court appearance for failure to provide insurance. The warrant was recalled after Alex paid off the $340 fine.
Then, in 2018, Alex, 22, was caught on camera chugging beers while attending a college party at Texas A&M University. Like her younger sister, Alex has also fled the farm and moved to Texas full-time upon graduation.
