Texas Couple Dies After Contracting Mysterious Illness In Fiji
‘They knew something was going on in their body,’ says family member.

A Texas couple never made it back home after contracting a mysterious illness during their trip to Fiji.
As RadarOnline.com has learned, David and Michelle Paul, of Fort Worth were rushed to the hospital after becoming ill.
“They knew something was going on in their body and were able to get to the hospital,” Tracey Calanog, Michelle Paul’s sister-in-law told KVUE.
She added that both Paul — a former Air Force veteran — and Michelle were “very physically fit,” but quickly turned weak due to the illness.
As RadarOnline.com has learned, they left behind their son, and David’s daughter.
Fijian authorities are still investigating the couple’s deaths, as are doctors, who remain unsure about the mysterious illness that killed them.
Tracey told KVUE the couple’s bodies will remain on the island until health officials confirm the illness is not infectious. If it is, they will be cremated.
