An Arizona middle school teacher accused of repeatedly sexually molesting a 13-year-old student has pled guilty to the crime, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Brittany Zamora, a sixth-grade teacher at Las Brisas Academy in the Phoenix suburb, Goodyear, pleaded guilty to sexual conduct with a minor, molestation of a child and public sexual indecency, after the boy’s parents discovered the explicit relationship and contacted authorities.
Records obtained by The Arizona Republic describe how Zamora, 27, and the boy had sex several times in her car and even in her classroom — once with another male student in the room.
The two even sexually touched each other during class, while other students watched a video, records showed. Zamora is also accused of sending naked pictures of herself to the student.
According to reports, the boy’s step-mother became suspicious after the teen spent time at home with his door shut. After installing a parental monitoring app on his phone, she discovered several inappropriate and sexually graphic texts from the educator.
In one exchange, the boy texted Zamora, saying that he wanted to have sex with her. “I know baby!” she responded, according to court records. “I want you every day with no time limit.”
In another exchange, she texted him, “If I could quit my job and have sex with you all day long, I would," according to records.
Zamora is set to be sentenced on July 12.
The boy's parents are seeking $2.5 million in damages, according to a civil lawsuit filed in January against Zamora, her husband and the Liberty Elementary School District.
