It turns out fans weren't the only ones upset about the end of Game of Thrones. Actor Kit Harington secretly checked into rehab for stress and alcohol abuse shortly before the show's finale aired on May 19.
According to Page Six, the British actor has been at a luxury Connecticut mental health retreat for about a month. His GoT costar wife, Rose Leslie, is said to be “extremely supportive” as he undergoes psychological and behavioral therapy to combat stress and deal with negative emotions.
The therapy isn’t coming cheap. Harington is shelling out over $12,000 a month for treatment.
As RadarOnline.com reported, the 32-year-old had a reputation as a party boy, but tried his hardest to settle his wild ways over the course of the show's eight seasons with help and encouragement from his co-stars, including Leslie and Emilia Clarke, who played his love interest, Daenerys Targaryen.
“Emilia is very good at keeping Kit in line and out of trouble because he respects her and besides that she’s tough and one of the wisest people on the set,” a source previously told RadarOnline.com. “He listens to her when she tells him to slow down and stay focused.”

Harington previously made headlines for getting kicked out from Barfly, a pool bar, in NYC, for drunk and disorderly conduct.
With the HBO hit now over, the hunk has had a hard time moving on, and his final show kill of one of his best friends and on-screen lover only worsened his fragile emotional state.
“I was very shocked and surprised at certain events,” Harington admitted during a sit-down on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon. “And then I blubbed my eyes out. I cried.”
