Fight For Freedom! Britney Fans Organize Massive #FreeBritney Rally Outside Court

Britney Spears fans are gathering for a massive silent #FreeBritney rally today in front of a Los Angeles Courthouse, where a status hearing is being held in the pop star's conservatorship case.

RadarOnline.com has learned that supporters of the #FreeBritney movement, as well as fans of the singer herself, have organized a massive silent rally to be held on Friday, May 10 at 12:00 p.m. at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, which is where the hearing is being held.

As previously reported, the #FreeBritney movement gained support after being launched while Britney was in a mental health treatment center last month.

Those who support the movement believe that Britney's ailing father Jamie, 66 — who has been Britney's conservator since her very public meltdown in 2007 — was holding her against her will in the treatment facility. Britney later denied the claims.

In addition to a rally, the group has also created a #FreeBritney petition on Change.org, which has thousands of signatures.

As fans know, the hearing comes on the heels of a dramatic week in court for the Spears family.

On Tuesday, May 7, Britney's mother Lynne, 64, filed a Declaration of Urgency with the court in Los Angeles, demanding that she be informed of updates in the case and at the upcoming conservatorship hearing, which will be held today. In documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, Lynne stated that her daughter was "in danger."

Lynne's attorney was approved to attend the hearing.

Two days later on Thursday, May 9, Britney was granted a temporary restraining order against former manager Sam Lutfi, who lawyers claimed caused Britney "severe mental trauma." The next court hearing in the case has been set for May 28.

As RadarOnline.com reported, loved ones don't believe Spears is ready to end her conservatorship.

“Britney’s friends and some of her family members are worried over these upcoming conservator hearings because they really believe that a judge is going to take the fact that she was just released from a mental health facility into account,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “Unfortunately for Britney, that kind of goes to show that she is not ready to handle her life under her own terms.”
