Shannen Doherty Joining ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ Reboot With Old Cast Members

Shannen Doherty is joining the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot, going back on camera with her former cast mate as they reprise their iconic 90s roles in the wake https://radaronline.com/exclusives/2019/03/shannen-doherty-emotional-interview-luke-perry-stroke/ of Luke Perry’s death.
Along with Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling, she will be back with her West Beverly High School friends.
Perry’s tragic death at 52 in March was not addressed, but according to the press release, the new Beverly Hills 90210 show will feature “the seven former teen idols playing heightened versions of themselves in the brand-new serialized drama – with a healthy dose of irreverence – that is inspired by their real lives and relationships with each other.”
Doherty spoke lovingly about Perry after his death , saying: “I am in shock. Heartbroken. Devastated by the loss of my friend. I have so many memories with Luke that make me smile and that are forever imprinted on my heart and mind.”

She bravely shared her cancer battle with her fans, from shaving her head to opening up about the difficulties she suffered while going through treatment.
The six-episode series airing in Summer 2019 is billed as picking up 20 years later, when “one of them suggests it’s time to get a ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ reboot
up and running. But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast – whom the whole world watched grow up together – attempts to continue from where they left off?”
