April 22 2019, Updated 3:49 p.m. ET
Nicolas Cage filed for an annulment from Erika Koike only four days after secretly tying the knot in Las Vegas. Although he claimed the two were too intoxicated to understand, she’s denying his claims!
RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details on Koike’s answer to his complaint for annulment, as she’s asking for a divorce instead and is demanding spousal support.
In court papers obtained from Clark County District Court in Nevada, Cage’s wife denied his claims that the plaintiff “lacked understanding of his actions in marrying Defendant to the extent that he was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”
In his complaint for an annulment filed on March 27, 2019, he claimed the two had been drinking “to the point of intoxication.”
“As a result of his intoxication, when Defendant suggested to Plaintiff that they should marry, Plaintiff reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize to understand the full impact of his actions,” Cage’s filing read.
In the Friday, April 19 filing, she also denied his claims that their marriage was obtained by fraud, and that he was unaware of her relationship with another person and her alleged criminal history.
In regards to Cage’s complaint for divorce, she is “without sufficient information to form a belief as to the truth or falsity of allegations” of if there is community property to be divided by the court.
In her counterclaim for divorce, she claimed, “Erika and Nicolas were married on March 23, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and ever since have been and now are husband and wife… To the best of Erika’s knowledge, she is not currently pregnant.”
She claims there may be community assets and community debts, the “exact amounts and descriptions of which are unknown to Erika at this time.”
She requested the court confirm to Nicolas his sole and separate debt.
“Given the length of the parties’ relationship, the lost career opportunities of Erika as a result of the relationship, the respective financial conditions of the parties, the cost for Erika to regain economic independence, and the damage to Erika’s reputation resulting from Nicolas’ inaccurate allegations, among other factors, Nicolas should be required to pay Erika spousal support that is just and equitable under the circumstances.”

She is also asking he pay for attorney’s fees.
“During the course of said marriage, the tastes, mental disposition, views, likes and dislikes of Erika and Nicolas have become so widely divergent that the parties have become incompatible to marriage to such an extent that it is impossible for them to live together as husband and wife,” the papers read. “And that the incompatibility between the Erika and Nicolas is so great that there is no possibility of reconciliation.”
She is asking for the complaint for annulment to be dismissed, and that the contract of marriage is dissolved. She is asking for a decree of divorce.
Reverend Phil York, 75, who married the couple, exclusively told Radar the actor didn’t appear too drunk to tie the knot.
York revealed the actor appeared “quiet and serious” during the 10-minute ceremony.
“I recognized Nic straight away when I came into the chapel,” York told Radar. “I’ve seen many of his movies and I think he’s a great actor. He was very quiet and serious but when I looked them in the eye and asked the question they both said ‘I do’. There was no hesitation. I always look for slurred speech or if people are wobbling around, but I didn’t see anything untoward.”
Reverend York added, “By license, if we think that they’re too drunk or drugged we can’t go through with the ceremony. I was just dumbfounded when I heard that he had got an annulment. I was surprised and shocked to hear that. I was kind of upset by the whole situation. The young lady said she had known him for four years.”
