March 4 2019, Updated 3:11 p.m. ET
Shannen Doherty has nothing but love for former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Luke Perry. Days after he was hospitalized for a near-fatal stroke, the actress got emotional talking about his condition.
"I can't talk about it here 'cause I will literally start crying but I love him and he knows I love him," Doherty, 47, told ET at The Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation's Compassion Project Gala in Los Angeles this Sunday, March 3.
"It's Luke, and he's my Dylan," she continued.
As fans know, Perry, 52, played bad boy Dylan McKay on the hit 1994 sitcom, while Doherty played gorgeous Brenda Walsh, his love interest.
Doherty said that she's been "in contact" with Perry since his hospitalization, and urged fans and loved ones to "just keep sending positive wonderful thoughts" his way as he continues to recover.
On February 27, the actor was rushed to the hospital after receiving a 911 call about a medical emergency. It was later revealed that Perry has suffered a stroke and was still under recovery.

Soon after the crisis, a neighbor of Perry's exclusively told RadarOnline.com that the actor had previously undergone surgery for back problems, but was otherwise healthy. It is not yet known what caused his stroke.
Meanwhile, Doherty also suffered a terrifying health crisis since her time on the famed show. The 90210 alum has been battling breast cancer for the last few years. She underwent surgery and lost all her hair in chemotherapy, but after months of suffering, it seems she is out of the woods. Late last year she was caught looking gorgeous and healthy as ever on a date with her husband.
A source told RadarOnline.com that the actress is making a life change after her scare, and leaving acting to be a producer!
