Mary Kay Letourneau and her teen student-turned-husband Vili Fualaau’s legal separation has been transferred to private arbitration. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal the controversial couple’s relationship could be over by August 2019.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, the clerk of court for King County Superior Court confirmed to RadarOnline.com that the legal separation has been transferred to private arbitration on February 14, 2019.

A private arbitration is when both parties have the opportunity to be heard by an impartial third party. The parties are bound by the arbitrator’s decision.

In court papers obtained from Washington Superior Court, “An arbitration hearing shall be held before the Arbitrator no later than August 1, 2019 unless the Arbitrator rules otherwise.”

The file continued, “The arbitrator shall issue a final Arbitration Decision setting forth the Arbitrator’s decisions on all issues needed to resolve a legal separation.”

Each party has been ordered to pay 50 percent of the Arbitrator’s fees within five business days of the Arbitrator’s invoice.

If the parties chose to confirm, vacate, modify or correct the Arbitration Decision, the assigned King County Superior Court Judge must hear the case.

Fualaau, 35, filed for legal separation from Letourneau, 57, after 12 years of marriage in May 2017.

Letourneau responded to the papers months later, disagreeing with the separation, as she “believes in reconciliation, is reconciling and reconciliation is possible.”

The original trial date was moved to September 10, 2018. It was pushed back again to February 19, 2019.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Letourneau was married to her first husband Steve when she began a sexual relationship with her 12-year-old student Fualaau in 1996 at 34 years old.

Letourneau and Steve share four children, Steve Jr., Mary Claire, Jacqueline and Nicholas, together.

The ex-teacher was sentenced to six months in prison with three months suspended for second-degree rape of a child.

After she was released from jail, police busted her having sex with Fualaau again in a car. She was sentenced to seven years in prison and was released in 2004.

She gave birth to both of their daughters, Audrey and Georgia, with Fualaau while in prison.

They married in 2005.
