Casey Anthony Wins! Meter Reader Who Found Caylee’s Body Loses Defamation Case

Casey Anthony has won the defamation case against the meter reader who found her daughter’s skeletal remains years ago, RadarOnline.com can report.

In shocking new court documents filed in Florida court, a judge ruled in Caylee mom’s favor on Thursday, Feb. 28.

“Final Judgment be, and the same is hereby, entered in favor of Defendant Casey Marie Anthony and against Plaintiff Roy Kronk,” a court order confirmed.

Kronk, 57, initially filed the complaint against Casey, 32, in 2011. He claimed Casey and her legal team made statements that implied he was the one who killed and hid Casey’s daughter, Caylee.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Kronk was working as a meter reader when he found two-year-old Caylee's remains in a garbage bag in Orlando and alerted police. Casey was accused in 2011 of killing her daughter and her murder trial became a nationwide controversy overnight.

She was ultimately found not guilty of first-degree murder and manslaughter charges in Caylee’s death.

Kronk's defamation case, however, was disrupted in 2013 when Anthony filed for bankruptcy. She then asked for summary judgment citing that statements made by her defense team didn’t meet the required standards for a defamation suit.

In an effort to clear his name of any wrongdoing, Kronk also requested a jury to take on the case.

In Thursday’s ruling, the court made it clear it did not find Caylee’s mom at fault.

“There is no evidence of an intent to cause Mr. Kronk injury necessary to render the alleged debt nondischargeable, and that assumes liability might be imputed to her in the event the statements by her attorneys were proven to be defamatory,” the filing stated.

Compared to Casey's big win in court, her parents haven't been as lucky. Last month, Cindy and George Anthony failed in their bid to release videotape depositions in their home foreclosure case, RadarOnline.com reported.
