Super Bowl Fans Slam Adam Levine For 'Mediocre' Performance, Bizarre Strip Tease
Feb. 4 2019, Updated 1:08 p.m. ET
Super Bowl viewers were not there for Adam Levine's disappointing performance.
As RadarOnline.com has learned, the Maroon 5 singer was slammed by fans following his on-stage strip tease and subpar show. Haters bashed the hunk — and Super Bowl organizers — for freely showing off his nipples 15 years after Janet Jackson was shamed for her accidental nip slip!
"How come Adam Levine can show his nipples at the Super Bowl but Janet Jackson can't? Double standards much? #SuperBowl2019 #FreeTheNipple" tweeted a user.
"So these are legal nipples?" wrote another.
"IF TWO ADAM LEVINE NIPPLES WERE APPROVED THEN SOMEONE OWES JANET JACKSON A BIG APOLOGY" tweeted a third.
People also blasted the hunk, and Super Bowl organizers, for shining the light on uninspiring pop, instead of addressing the controversial Colin Rand Kaepernick drama. RadarOnline.com readers know the former NFL player was banned from the league after kneeling in a protest against racist. Now, many celebrities and fans are donating $7 to his Know Your Rights campaign.
"Hi there while you're enjoying this mediocre Maroon 5 halftime please remember a football legend was blacklisted from this entire sport for merely putting his knee on the ground in protest of black people being murdered. Enjoy your pop music!" wrote a Twitter user.
Levine's appearance sparked much controversy, but overall, fans were simply dissatisfied with his "lame" performance.
"Maroon 5 has called in a specialist to save their halftime show," tweeted a fan, referring to Travis Scott's fiery performance.
"I wish Missy Elliott would just fly in from the sky," commented another.
Even LeBron James took a dig at Levine, 39, tweeting: "Soooooooo…… This halftime show though. That's all for Travis or nah?!?!?!"
