Luke Perry had "bad back problems" which he had "surgically fixed" before his Feb. 27 stroke nightmare, a neighbor of the Beverly Hills, 90210 star revealed exclusively to RadarOnline.com.
Perry, 52, was otherwise "healthy," according to nearby residents who often saw the actor walk his dogs and perform "regular exercise routines." He also frequented a gym "down the street" from his Sherman Oaks, CA home.
As readers know, paramedics received a 911 call at 9:30 am after Perry reportedly suffered a stroke. He was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital soon after, an LAFD spokesperson said.
A rep for Perry told Us Weekly the star is “currently under observation at the hospital.”
Perry's best known for his role as Dylan McKay on 90210 from 1990 to 1995, and again from 1998 to 2000, but currently stars as Fred Andrews on the CW series Riverdale.
