Former Real Housewives of New York star Carole Radziwill is mourning the death of her mother-in-law, who was also the younger sister of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, RadarOnline.com has learned.
In a touching tribute on Sunday night, the former reality star shared a black and white photograph of Lee Radziwill. She died at age 85.
"She was loved. Rest in Peace, Lee. Thank you for the kind words & comments," Carole wrote with a heart emoji and prayer hands.
Carole was married to Lee's son, Anthony Radziwill, who tragically passed away in 1999 after battling cancer. The former reality star's late husband's death came just weeks after his cousin, John F. Kennedy Jr., died in a plane crash.
Carole has formerly spoke out about her ex's prominent relatives on The Real Housewives of New York.
"My husband's mom was Jackie Onassis' sister," Carole said on the Bravo show. "We had a place out in Sagaponack. We shared a house with Anthony's cousin John."
Lee was best known as Jackie's younger sister and the sister-in-law of President John F. Kennedy. She was also a former socialite and interior decorator.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Carole quit RHONY after her toxic relationship to frenemy Bethenny Frankel played out last season.
The former Bravo star is still linked to chef Adam Kenworthy.
