Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox showed they were safe and sound following an airplane emergency on the way to Mexico. The Friends stars finally made it to Cabo to continue Aniston's 50th birthday celebration week after a terrifying incident during their initial flight there.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Aniston's private plane made an emergency landing on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 after circling in the air for nearly three hours. Harrowing video of the jet making the terrifying landing was aired, as she and close pal Cox, 54, were aboard the aircraft.
The plane had reportedly hit trouble on takeoff, losing a rear tire! The crew made it down to Mexican airspace, but they decided to return to the U.S. for the emergency landing at the Ontario Airport, as KTTV reported. For about two and a half hours, the plane circled over the airport to burn fuel prior to its safe landing, officials said.
The plane had a full tank when it took off at 11 a.m. PST. The pilots burned fuel for three hours, finally landing at 2:05 PM PST. But the stars were determined to get to Cabo and they did on another jet.
Photographers captured Aniston and Cox at the Mexican airport after they touched down there on Friday. Also on the plane were actress Amanda Anka, wife of actor Jason Bateman, and writer Molly Kimmel, wife of late night host Jimmy Kimmel. Eight more of Aniston's pals were also on the jet as everyone is hailing the Horrible Bosses star this week as she turned the big 5-0.
Aniston's birthday was on Monday, February 11.
