'Big Bang' Star Johnny Galecki's GF's Family Was 'Concerned' Over 22-Year Age Gap

Big Bang Theory’s Johnny Galecki plans to marry his girlfriend, who is half his age. Now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report Alaina Meyer’s family wasn’t initially thrilled about their 22-year age gap.

In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Meyer’s half-brother, Evan Bozajian, revealed that the 21-year-old aspiring producer’s family was hesitant of her relationship with Galecki, 43, before meeting him.

“The age gap was somewhat of a concern,” Bozajian told RadarOnline.com. “But not like we thought anybody was being taken advantage of.”

Bozajian said his little sister is “pretty mature for her age." Still, the half-brother admitted he “had that instinct in me to go, ‘what is going on?’ at first.”

“Within the first time of speaking to Johnny, it was all sort of cleared up in a way that I knew his intentions weren’t negative,” the brother explained.

In fact, Bozajian told RadarOnline.com that Meyer’s family is in support of her impending nuptials to the Hollywood actor. As RadarOnline.com readers know, the brother confirmed that Galecki “recently” asked Meyer’s father’s permission to marry her.

The two have spotted bands on their ring fingers in recent weeks. However, Meyer’s half-brother confirmed the accessories are in celebration of a “pre-engagement,” and no real proposal has taken place just yet.

Despite the pair’s 22-year age gap, Bozajian said they are happy and enjoying life together.

“They obviously care a lot about each other,” he said.
