Big Ang’s Sister Writing Tell-All Book For Late ‘Mob Wives’ Star’s 60th Birthday

It’s been three years since beloved Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola passed away from cancer – but her sister is making sure her memory lives on. In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Janine Detore revealed she is working on a tell-all book.
“I’m writing a book about our life together,” Detore told RadarOnline.com. “My goal is to have it out by her 60th birthday. It will include a ‘Fun Facts’ page with things people didn’t know about her.”
But a book isn’t the only way Detore is ensuring her sister’s memory lives on. She is planning a 60th birthday for her in June 2020.
“I’m going to do a birthday and fundraiser,” she revealed. “I want to show everybody her films from years ago before Mob Wives. It would be fun.”
Detore said she plans to give the proceedings to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, although nothing is final.
“When my sister was sick, she was down and depressed,” she said. “She used to watch the St. Jude’s channel. She used to say, 'At least I had 55 years!'”
Raiola passed away at age 55 after losing her battle with stage four brain and lung cancer on February 18, 2016.
Detore told RadarOnline.com that family, friends and fans are celebrating the third anniversary of her death at her former bar Funky Monkey Lounge in Staten Island.
“I don’t think she ever left me," she said. "I think she’s always in my store. There are always signs. She wouldn’t leave me. She never did.”
