Thomas Markle 'Very Upset' By Reports Of Meghan & Kate's Fiery Feud

Thomas Markle may not be in the best place with daughter Meghan Markle at the moment, but the Duchess' father still worries about her health and reputation.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Thomas admitted he is bothered by the reports about Meghan's fiery feud with Kate Middleton.

"If there is any animosity between Meghan and Kate they should put their differences aside," Thomas, 74, said.

Admitting he hasn't spoken to her in months, he then defended his estranged daughter.

"I'm very upset by the criticism Meghan is getting," he added. "I don't think she deserves it and I don't think she is doing one-third of the things she is being accused of doing."

Thomas added that he does not believe Meghan, 37, "is trying to hurt" Kate, 36, "in any shape or form." However, he is sad that he "cannot call Meghan and say, 'What is going on? How can I help you?'"

"I need to know what the hell is happening and why it is happening. I need to know why she is being bashed every day," admitted Thomas, adding that he does not think Kate is scared of Meghan because she is clearly in a higher position.

In an interview following their estrangement, Thomas weighed in on Meghan's alleged feud with Kate, saying that the former Suits actress had always been "demanding" but never rude. He noted that the person she is being portrayed as on the internet ever since becoming a royal is not the woman he raised.
