Is Piers Morgan OK? This Friday, the outspoken journalist shocked fans by sharing a scary photo of him lying in an emergency room bed wearing a hospital gown and a nasal breathing tube.

“Bad news... after some extensive hospital tests this morning it appears I’m not going to die,” joked the controversial star.

“I can only apologise for all the upset & offence I know this development will cause,” Morgan, 53, continued, not sharing any details about his mystery health crisis.

Seeing his post, fans quickly voiced their concern over his condition — though others simply joked back.

“Jesus, you only ate one bite of that Vegan Sausage Roll,” wrote one.

“I love that he’s in hospital with an O2 tube but still doing an ‘ill-i-need-a-day-off-from-school-face’,” commented another.

"Morgan was diagnosed with a mix of bronchitis and laryngitis," a source close to the ex-reality show star told RadarOnline.com.

"He’s been complaining on TV here for weeks he's sick and said he spoke to the ITV TV doctor about it, who told him he had a months-long virus."
