Neil Young's Horror: Rocker's Ex Dies After He Left Her For Daryl Hannah

Neil Young’s rocker ex-wife, Pegi Young, has passed away from cancer at age 66.
“With great sadness, we confirm that on January 1st, after a year-long battle with cancer, Pegi Young — mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, musician, activist and co-founder of the Bridge School — passed away surrounded by her friends and family in her native California,” read a message on the late musician’s Facebook page.
Pegi and Neil, who were wed in 1978, ended their 36-year marriage four years ago. In a shocking twist, he went public with his new girlfriend, Daryl Hannah, just six weeks after the split.
“He’s gonna get hurt,” Neil’s former musical partner, David Crosby, blasted at the time. “But I understand why it happened. I’m just sad about it. I’m always sad when I see loved tossed in the gutter.”
Neil, 73, and Hannah, 58, married earlier this year.
Pegi is survived by her two kids with Neil — daughter Amber, 34, and son Ben, 39.
