Megyn Kelly has reached a final settlement with NBC, RadarOnline can exclusively reveal.
The TV anchor reached a final deal with the network on Friday January 11, three months after leaving her self-titled show over her ‘blackface’ scandal, where she claimed it was OK for white people to use black face paint.
Megyn, 48, has been awarded a payout as part of the deal, and a source said they believe it to be close to the full payment on her three-year contract, which she signed in 2017 and was reported to be worth $69m.
A separate insider said: “Megyn can add life to cable news by bringing a more productive discussion. She’s a seasoned lawyer and doesn’t align herself with either Democrats or Republicans.
“With cable shows either completely pro Trump or completely anti Trump her only loyalty is to the viewer.
“She is unpredictable because the truth is unpredictable.”
Former Fox anchor Megyn is said to be determined to the learn from her experience at NBC, where she proved controversial from the start.
Reports from insiders at the network claimed her personality clashed with the other anchors as well as producers and other behind-the-scenes staff.
A source claimed: “Megyn learned a lot from her time at NBC, these are life lessons.
“She is a passionate and driven soul and there may be times when she said or did something that offends people without them even realizing it.
“But Megyn is the first to stop and turn around and apologize.”
Since leaving her job at NBC, Megyn has been linked to various other TV shows including The View and even a return to Fox.
