Tracy Anderson and her son are grieving the loss of a very special man in their lives: Eric Anderson. As RadarOnline.com has learned, the former Knicks player passed away this Sunday.
According to an autopsy obtained by The Indianapolis Star, the 48-year-old athlete died of natural causes, despite the fact that he was suffering some sort of illness.
"It's cardiac-related, but natural causes until doc can confirm that in a report to me," Hamilton County Coroner John Chalfin told the outlet.
Police found his body while doing a welfare check in his home. Their visit came after his worried sister said she hadn't heard from him in several days.
Tracy's rep confirmed the news of his death. During a talk with Page Six, the rep said everyone was "deeply saddened" by the loss.
"Eric was a true friend to Tracy, a loving and incredibly dedicated father to their son Sam, and always willing to lend a helping hand to many of us at Tracy Anderson throughout the years," added the rep. "Our hearts are grieving with Tracy and her family during this difficult time."
Tracy and Eric were married from 1998 to 2008. They shared one son, 20-year-old Sam.
R.I.P. Eric Anderson.
