Southern Charm shocker!
Nanny Dawn Ledwell filed a lawsuit against Thomas Ravenel for "assault, slander and libel" and included Bravo, NBC Universal, Comcast and the show's production company to the case, according to documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com.
Ledwell's lawsuit included the details of Ravenel's alleged attack she claimed took place in January 2015.
In the bombshell documents, Ledwell accused Ravenel of "violently and aggressively" ripping her clothes off and forcing his hands between her legs, "causing severe and significant injuries."
She stated that the Southern Charm star attempted "to engaged in sexual intercourse" with her against her will.
Ravenel's "conduct was so extreme and outrageous as to exceed all bounds of decency and must be regarded as atrocious and utterly intolerable in a civilized community," Ledwell claimed in court docs.
Ledwell also alleged the production company, the network and the parent companies "created, permitted and encouraged Southern Charm plot lines that focus on alcohol, sexual encounters, and the concept that male cast members, including Defendant Ravenel, suffer from 'Peter Pan Syndrome' and they are the 'Lost Boys' and Charleston is their 'Neverland.'"
The nanny's court documents also claimed she informed an employee of "Corporate Defendants," which included Bravo, NBCUniversal and Comcast, about the alleged assault in December 2015.
She claimed they "failed to investigate" her accusations against Ravenel.
Ledwell also claimed that "Corporate Defendants and Ravenel have conspired with one another to deter the investigations of assaults committed by Defendant Ravenel."
She said she has not been contacted "since the public disclosure of the allegations of assault in or around May 4, 2018," and after a statement was released that said: "Haymaker, the production company for Southern Charm, and Bravo take allegations like these very seriously. Haymaker is conducting an investigation, and once all the information is gathered and carefully reviewed, appropriate action will be taken."
Ledwell asked for a jury trial in her case.
After multiple sexual harassment allegations, Ravenel did not return to Southern Charm after the fifth season.
