Beloved Canadian-Romanian singer, Anca Pop, has died.

As RadarOnline.com has learned, the 34-year-old's car plunged into the Danube River in south-western Romania, where it was found, along with her body, by divers this Monday.

It was the same river where her migrant family members sailed on in 1987, when they fled communist Romania and sought refuge in Canada, Billboard reported.

According to the Associated Press, police first began searching for Anca when her worried sister told them the singer had not made it to their family home on Sunday.

Investigators are still looking into her tragic death.

As fans know, the young stunner — who broke barriers in Romania when she began openly dating a woman — was known for her dreamy Euro-pop music, strong messages and daring style. Just two years ago, she released her self-titled album, Anca Pop, and gained a massive following in Japan.

After news of her sudden passing spread, fans took to social media to voice their sadness and gush about the star's beautiful personality, life and work.
