Paris Hilton has opened-up about her infamous Rick Salomon sex tape.
The socialite says its release felt 'like being reaped' and that she 'lost part of her soul' as a result.
Fifteen years after its release she spoke in the newly released The American Meme documentary on Netflix.
The reality star, 37, broke down in tears, as she revealed: "It was like being raped.
"It felt like I've lost part of my soul and been talked about in such cruel and mean ways.
"Literally overnight my entire life changed... everyone was making fun of it. I didn't leave my house for, like months."
"I was so embarrassed. I felt like everyone on the street was laughing at me."
However, the sex tape did raise her profile also, as she went on to star with her friend Nicole Richiein the hit reality show The Simple Life for four years until 2007.
Hilton recently split with her fiancé Chris Zylka.
