A prominent Catholic priest has just been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to a string of heinous underage sex crimes including child porn possession, rape and murder fantasies.

As RadarOnline.com has learned, Thomas Faucher admitted to having over 2,000 photos and videos of child pornography on his computer and phone. He also confessed to talking about his twisted kiddie sex fantasies — some of which involved violence and even death — on various chat rooms.

The 73-year-old priest from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise, will now be registered as a sex-offender and de-frocked. After being sent to prison, he will not be eligible for parole.

“It’s been agonizing every day for the parishioners at Saint Mary's and for those in the community, even outside Saint Mary’s,” Diocese of Boise spokesman Gene Fadness said this Thursday. “Faucher was not just a priest, but a prominent priest, well known. This has been very difficult for everyone involved.”

Earlier this year, investigators got a tip about child porn images being sent to Faucher’s private email. They arrested him in February, and during questioning, the shamed priest pled guilty to five felony crimes regarding possession of disturbing images including young boys being abused. He also pled guilty to two counts of distribution of sexually exploitative material, two counts of possession of sexually exploitative materials, and one count of drug possession, according to the Idaho Statesman.

At his sentencing this Thursday, Faucher gave a weak apology for his crimes.

“I am deeply sorry that I was and have been connected to that in any way,” he told Judge Jason Scott. “I was one really sick puppy. I screwed up big time. I feel so much remorse and anger.”

The formerly trusted priest also admitted to possessing LSD, marijuana and ecstasy, and claimed that he couldn't remember sharing kiddie porn because he suffered from alcohol-induced depression and dementia.

At one point, Faucher — who admitted to being attracted to 6-year-old boys. — tried to convince the judge to spare him of jail time so he could focus on sharing his story and warning people against “the evils of child pornography.” But Scott was not convinced.

Among the horrific things found in Faucher’s devices were hundreds of conversations between him and a subject named Bruno, where the priest said he was aroused by the idea of murdering someone and enjoyed watching a clip of a young boy being beaten to death. He also detailed one of his sick fantasies which involved sexually abusing altar boys and babies, and even young boys in his own family.

Investigators also found images of Faucher peeing on a cross and a canon law book. The sicko even claimed he peed in the wine before holding Mass.

After the church learned of Faucher’s arrest, they evicted him from the home he rented from the diocese — and had it exorcised before selling it.
