It’s been 10 years since authorities found three-year-old Caylee Anthony’s dead body abandoned and decaying on the side of the road in Orlando, Florida. Her mother, Casey Anthony, faced the death penalty if convicted of her murder, but was eventually found not guilty in 2011. Now, Casey, 32, has moved on from the case, but her estranged friends still recall dark details about the horrific tragedy.

In REELZ’s new docuseries, Casey Anthony: Her Friends Speak, Casey’s former friend and roommate reveals what he really knows about the monster mom’s past. And during a visit to Caylee’s death scene — where her remains were discovered — he breaks down in tears, seemingly reliving the dreadful case.

“I’ve never been here before,” Clint House says while visiting the site for the first time.

“I’ve stayed away from this and this is too hard to see, because I knew this is how I was gonna feel. It’s like somebody just drove by and just three her body into the closest place they could,” he continues, looking visibly distressed while holding back tears.

Walking through the grassy terrain where Caylee’s body was found, House can no longer contain his heartbreak. Crying, he tells the cameras what he’s guessed many times before: Casey’s daughter was thrown out “like a piece of trash.”

He then recalls how police looked for the toddler’s body for a whole six months before finding it in the wooded area.

“Six months!” says House with a pained look on his face. “She was just decomposing right there.”

Casey Anthony: Her Friends Speak airs Sunday, December 9 at 8 ET/7 PT on REELZ.
