After exiting rehab early last month, troubled Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown has ditched his sober coach and fled to a desert in California, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
“The family is all incredibly worried right now because Matt didn’t even tell anyone he was leaving,” a source close to the Brown family said.
“He just up and left even though he was advised to stay put and focus on his sobriety.”
According to the insider, no one had any idea where Matt, 36, took off to — until a photo surfaced of the admitted addict posing with fans outside of a party store in Palm Desert, California.
As Radar reported, Matt was “struggling” after leaving a second stint at rehab in late October. In 2016, Matt entered treatment for the first time after getting a DUI.
To make matters worse, Matt was at odds with dad Billy over his refusal to have a 24/7 sober coach — insisting that meetings and therapist were enough.
“His family can’t do anymore to help him now,” the source added. “All they can do now is pray.”
