The stars of 90 Day Fiancé have turned to making GoFundMe pages and charging for video messages in an attempt to get cash from fans, while current stars struggle with financial issues. RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal how much – or little! – stars of the popular franchise are making.
“Before the 90 Days makes $500 to $1,000 per episode,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “90 Day Fiancé pays their cast members $1,000 to $1,500 per episode.” Salaries increase for those who appear on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, but the insider insisted it “doesn’t go up much more.”
As for the foreigners on the K-1 visa, the source explained, “They can’t even get paid because they have to wait for a work permit. It’s of course different if filming takes place in their county.”
Parents and friends bring in significantly less, as a second source explained one day of filming led to a $250 paycheck.
Former stars of the franchise have struggled financially.
Danielle Jbali’s friend started a GoFundMe page for her asking for $5,000.
“Danielle joined 90 Day Fiancé and became an unlikely celebrity,” her page read. “We have all watched her ups and downs, and have also witnessed some Internet bullying, which is unfortunate because if you are now an adult and think it’s still okay to bully, that reflects badly on you.
Danielle went back to school, took on a second job and is trying to do the right thing and rise above her past troubles and should be applauded for that.
I truly believe that the real friends she's made along the way, myself included, would be willing to help a friend in need. Let’s all get together to help her a little so that she will be able get her head above water once again.”
At this time, the page has raised $322.
Last season’s Happily Ever After? stars Nicole Nafziger and David Toborowsky have turned to Cameo, where they charge fans for personalized video messages.
Nafziger charges $50, while Toborowsky and his wife Annie Suwan charge $40.
Fortunately for Toborowsky, he is reportedly working on a YouTube cooking channel, where Suwan will teach viewers how to cook Thai food.
But the former stars aren’t the only ones struggling.
RadarOnline.com reported that current 90 Day Fiancé star Jonathan Rivera was hit with a federal tax lien in the amount of $26,196.30 on September 6, 2018. The clerk confirmed the lien remains active.
90 Day Fiancé is TLC’s highest-rated show on Sundays. According to Ratings By The Numbers, the November 26 episode brought in 1,804 viewers, beating TLC’s Return to Amish.
TLC did not respond to RadarOnline.com's request for comment.
