Dennis Rader, the BTK Killer, terrorized the town of Wichita, Kansas in the 1970s and 1990s, when he murdered at least 10 innocent people, following his motto of "Bind, Torture, Kill." The sick criminal led a double life, as apart from being a vicious serial killer, he was also a seemingly devoted husband, father and church member. In 2005, decades after his crimes, RadarOnline.com was finally discovered and sent to prison with 10 consecutive life sentences.

Now, REELZ's new docuseries, Murder Made Me Famous: BTK Killer, is looking back at the psychopath's brutal crimes, and speaking to victims' family members about the moment they were faced with death.

"I opened up the door, went through, said 'Is anybody home?' And one of my siblings yelled out 'Charlie, come quick, mom and dad are playing a bad trick on us,'" says Charles Otero, recalling the moment he found his parents dead inside their bedroom.

Otero was just 15 at the time.

"I saw my mother on the bed and I saw what kind of condition she was in and it felt like somebody had ripped my chest open and pulled my heart out," he says with a pained look on his face.

"My dad was lying on the floor. I remember he had a belt around his neck pulled really tight, biting into his neck and his tongue was half bit off and I realized at that point there was nothing I could do for my family… they were dead. I just felt like my world had come to an end. I physically was aching at that point," concludes Otero.
