‘Hee Haw’ Star Roy Clark Dead At 85

Legendary country singer Roy Clark is dead at 85.
According to Roy Clark’s publicist, the musician passed away at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from a serious case of pneumonia.
Clark is known for occasionally filling in for Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, and he spent 24 years as the co-host of the popular variety show Hee Haw.
The country mogul inspired other superstars, including Brad Paisley, who praised Clark after learning about his death: “It all started for me with the Roy Clark guitar method song book,” Paisley tweeted.
Clark won a Grammy in 1983 and seven Country Music Awards, among other honors through the years.
The beloved country star, who as inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2009, had been scheduled to speak at an event on Nov. 30 in Oklahoma.
