Rachel Weisz Tells All On Spitting Into Rachel McAdams’ Mouth During Sex Scene

Actress Rachel Weisz said she found her now infamous lesbian sex scene with Rachel McAdams “erotic” – despite having to spit into her co-star’s mouth!
The actress, who has been married to Daniel Craig for seven years, used lychee-flavored lube to spit on McAdams during their love scene in the film Disobedience, which tells the story of two Orthodox Jewish women embarking on a gay affair.
It created a furore when it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival due to the salacious moment.
But the kinky act led some critics to brand it “the best sex scene in years”.
Mom-of-two Weisz, 48, said: “You don’t see anything, almost, apart from our faces in close-up. There are other bits of our bodies, but you don’t see any breasts or bottoms. And so in that sense you have to imagine everything that’s happening around the edges of the frame. You see a face in pleasure and you have to imagine what one woman is doing to another woman. And I think that’s pretty erotic.”

Rachel, who prides herself on taking strong female roles, added the idea of the spitting came from the male director of Disobedience, Sebastián Lelio.
“It came from the imagination of the director, but I supposed he wanted to do something that isn’t a cliché,” she said. “It could either be something that the characters did when they were teenagers together, being sexual. Or it could be symbolic, although I’m not going to tell anyone how to look at it because it will mean something different to everyone, and explaining it would ruin it.”
