Oprah Winfrey's Beloved Mother Dies On Thanksgiving Day

Oprah Winfrey's beloved mother died at age 83 on Thanksgiving Day.
"The family of Vernita Lee are saddened to share of her passing on November 22, 2018, at her home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin," a rep for Winfrey told RadarOnline.com in a statement.
Lee was born on May 2, 1935 and worked as a housekeeper for a large part of her life.
Besides Winfrey, Lee is survived by four grandchildren and her daughter Patricia Amanda Faye Lee, who she gave up for adoption as a newborn but was able to rekindle a relationship with later in life.

Lee's son, Jeffrey Lee, died in 1989, and another daughter, Patricia Lee Lloyd, passed away in 2003.
Family held a private funeral for the matriarch and request that all memorial donations in her name be made to Feeding America.
