Megyn Kelly And Husband See Broadway Play 'Network' About News Anchor Who Loses Job
Megyn Kelly and her husband attended the Broadway show "Network" on Saturday night—an ironic choice considering her messy ouster from NBC!
The play based on the popular book and 1976 movie tells the story of a television anchor about to lose his job due to low ratings.
In the film, the crazed character played by Peter Finch urges his viewers on a live broadcast to open their windows and yell, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!"
The fired Megyn Kelly Today show star tweeted about her date night with Douglas Brunt and apparently they liked the life-imitates-art show.
"@DougBrunt & I thoroughly enjoyed 'Network' on Broadway tonight,"Kelly wrote on Twitter late on Saturday, November 10.
"@BryanCranston was brilliant, as he is in everything. A lot of wisdom in this one."
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Kelly, 47, recently got the axe from NBC after her offensive on-camera comments defending blackface.
Sources told RadarOnline.com that all traces of Kelly were erased at the peacock network.
It's so far up in the air if Kelly will land anywhere else on TV, as she also got terrible ratings on NBC and was allegedly ostracized by other news personalities.
But Kelly is showing that she's moving on by spending lots of time with her hunky novelist hubby!
On Friday night, she and Brunt dined out at Elio's restaurant in Manhattan, as negotiations continue over her impending exit from NBC. She had signed a whopping $69 million contract with the network.
