Sean "Diddy" Combs "will never get over" the sudden and tragic death of his ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter, a source close to the rapper tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake, CA home Thursday November 15, 2018 and the informant reveals the music mogul is devastated and "no one knows what happened."

Diddy and Porter dated for 13 years before calling it quits in 2007 but a pal tells Radar exclusively "they will always be family."

"She was the love of his life," said the source of the couple who have three kids together. "She was the mother of his children and his best friend. They were both still very close."

While the family mourns Porter's passing, "everyone is focusing on those poor kids."

LAPD Officer Jeff Lee previously confirmed to Radar "An investigation is underway at Kim Porter's address. That call came out at 11:38 this morning. And there is a female deceased at the scene. We are sending our homicide detectives over there to find out whether or not foul play was involved."

A rep for Porter also confirmed her death to Radar. “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”

According to an emergency dispatch called, Porter suffered “cardiac arrest.”

Although sources claim she'd been suffering illness the last couple weeks, the exact cause of her death is unknown at this time.

Porter and Diddy have a son, Christian Combs, and twin daughter Jessie James and D'Lila, who were born in 2006.

The model and actress also has a son named Quincy from her previous relationship with Al B. Sure!.

RIP.
