The eerie home where Brittany Murphy was found dead nearly nine years ago has been sold, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

The Los Angeles pad was listed for sale in 2016 and sold a year later – in March of 2017 – for a whopping $14,533,000.

The Hollywood Hills residence was originally on sale for almost $16 million.

Following Murphy's mysterious and tragic death, the house underwent a complete ground-up renovation, with five bedrooms and nine bathrooms installed.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, at 8:00 a.m. on December 20, 2009, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a "medical request" at the home she shared with her husband, Simon Monjack.

Firefighters attempted to resuscitate the 32-year-old but were unsuccessful.

She was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she died at 10:04 a.m. after going into cardiac arrest.

Shortly after, the coroner ruled the primary cause of death was pneumonia with secondary factors that included iron-deficiency anemia and multiple drug intoxication.

Five months later, on May 23, 2010, her widower, Monjack, was found dead at the same residence.

The medical examiner ruled that his cause of death was acute pneumonia and severe anemia.

Before his death, Monjack exclusively opened his doors to RadarOnline.com to show the horrific scene of the bathroom where Murphy collapsed.

“This is the little doggy couch where she actually fell and she was put on her side right here,” Monjack said pointing to a leopard print couch and a place on the floor next to it. “When the paramedics came in they pulled her through here, into one of the closets and into the main room.”
