Amy Schumer was forced to cancel a concert in Texas after she was taken to the hospital suffering complications from her first pregnancy.
“Texas I am so deeply sorry,” she wrote in a caption on a photo she posted to Instagram on Nov. 15 that shows her lying in a bed surrounded by IV drips. “I have been really looking forward to these shows. I have to reschedule. I am in the hospital.”
“I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story,” she noted. “I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows.”
Hyperemesis gravidarum is severe morning sickness, often resulting in extreme nausea, lightheadedness and vomiting, which can cause dehydration. The condition must be treated in the hospital with IV fluids and medication.
As RadarOnline.com reported, newlyweds Schumer, 37, and her 38-year-old husband Chris Fischer, are expecting their first child together in months.
“Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls**t!” Schumer complained of her medical predicament. “Sending so much love to the doctors and nurses taking great care of me and Tati!”
