Olympic swimming star Ryan Lochte is spiraling out of control.

It has been revealed that the swimmer was involved in a car crash AFTER he kicked in a hotel door in a drunken rage.

The incident happened around 9.45pm in Gainesville, Florida, on Thursday after he rear-ended another car in his Porsche.

The police report revealed that Lochte struck the other vehicle, however, it did not say that he had been drinking at the time.

The driver of the car Lochte hit was taken by ambulance to the hospital with 'non-life-threatening' injuries.

Lochte was not hurt in the crash and was cited for 'careless driving' by the police.

Before his car smash in Florida police were called to his hotel in Orange County, California, at 3am after a drunken Lochte kicked in his hotel room door.

No arrests were made and the swimmer settled the dispute with the hotel.

RadarOnline.com reported that the athlete would undergo treatment to deal with his alcohol related issues his hotel meltdown.

The swimmer infamously got involved in a drunken incident as a gas station during the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.

His lawyer Jeff Ostrow revealed: "Ryan has been battling alcohol addiction for many years and unfortunately it has become a destructive pattern for him."
