An Arizona teen mom has just confessed to killing her own child after becoming tired of hearing him cry. Jenna Folwell, 19, admitted to police that she googled "infanticide" and found out how long it took for babies to drown, before murdering her 4-week-old son.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, infanticide refers to the crime of killing one's child, especially an infant.
Chandler Detective Seth Tyler told The Arizona Republic that Folwell told police her baby had been abducted by a man in the park, just two hours after she took him into the bath with her and drowned him. She said the kidnapper but a bag over her son's head and fled. Bizarrely, investigators found the infant inside a black duffel bag in Folwell's apartment.
Though Folwell first said that she fainted while giving her son a bath, she eventually caved under pressure and admitted she purposely drowned him so he would stop crying. She said she then tried to revive him but it was too late, so she put him in a bag and went to the park.
The baby boy's father, Eric Canku, said he was heartbroken by the news of his son's death and never saw the warning signs, as he was not romantically involved with Folwell. He said the teen mom killer "took away the best thing in my life," according to The Arizona Republic. "I just don't know what kind of person would do that to an innocent child," he added.
Folwell was booked at the Maricopa County Jail since Wednesday, before her shocking murder confession.
