Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon is worth $120 million – but her mom is making pennies working as a hostess at a honky-tonk that's blasted for serving meat as hard as bricks, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

Radar uncovered that the Legally Blonde beauty's 70-year-old mother, Betty Reese, seats customers at Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in Franklin, Tennessee. One fan named Ashley Newsom ran into the actor's mom while dining with her daughter, Delaney, shown below.

Despite the big grin on Betty's face, Newsom said the A-lister's mother was "mortified" to take a picture at her place of employment.

"She had on this cardigan sweater and needed to straighten it up and button it and take her glasses off," Newsom recalled. "She was so embarrassed."

The restaurant prides itself on savory Southern staples like fried chicken and slow-smoked barbecue. But customers complained that the eatery, which also hosts live music, is short on atmosphere and edible food!

One disgruntled customer left a two-star review of Betty's place of employment on Yelp.com. He claimed his wife ordered Puckett's meat sliders – and couldn't even take a bite!

"The meat was so hard she could not eat them," the angry writer whined.

Another unhappy customer complained he was charged extra for "extremely dry" mac and cheese.

"It was like it was from the night before," the reviewer wrote on the site.

Customers also slammed Puckett's for bad service! In August, a customer named Zack said he was "completely ignored by the 3 or 4 host/employees standing within 5 feet of me" when he walked in.

Despite the negative online reviews, Newsom said it was a pleasure – and a surprise – to find her working at a restaurant.

"She is just this sweet Southern gal," said the fan.
