Natalie Wood Boat Captain Fires Back At Robert Wagner In Heated Interview

Almost 40 years after Natalie Wood's tragic drowning death, her boat's captain, Dennis Davern, is still standing by his story that Robert Wagner is responsible for the actress' demise.

Days after Wagner's rep called Davern and Lana Wood "despicable human beings" for accusing the actor of murder, the former captain fired back!

"I think Robert Wagner feels like, with his harsh words, the people will listen because he's a celebrity," Davern told Fox News. "The bottom line is, I am not despicable. I have cooperated with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. I've gone to … the homicide detectives."

Davern has told police, FBI and reporters all about the events of that dreadful November 29, 1981, and even wrote a book and put together a podcast citing all the reasons he things Wagner is guilty.

"I've taken a polygraph test on every question, extensive polygraph tests on questions that showed I passed. I am a truthful person. I have no reason to lie. And I am not a despicable person," he said. "Shame on him!"
