Desperate Megyn Kelly Getting Ready To Run Back To FOX
Megyn Kelly wants off NBC and back on FOX — after apparently being stabbed in the back by Savannah Guthrie and the Today team!
Despite a ratings catastrophe on Today’s third hour, Kelly is still NBC’s highest-paid personality — at a reported $23 million a year.
But sources said she blames Guthrie for mean leaks about her future at NBC, and the claws came out during their eight-hour coverage of Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing.
“As the day went on, Savannah and Megyn got nastier and nastier, making little digs at each other,” a TV insider told RadarOnline.com. “When the live broadcast ended, the two of them exploded — accusing each other of talking over one another and interrupting!”
Although NBC honchos have publicly supported Kelly, 47, they’re secretly on board with devising a plan to force her out, insiders said.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Kelly wasn’t included by the Today team when Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Kathie Lee Gifford and more than 25 others saw weatherman Al Roker make his Broadway debut in Waitress on Oct. 5.
“After the show they all went to Butter restaurant on 45th Street with Al and his wife to celebrate,” said a source. “One staff member was overheard saying, ‘This family does everything together,’ but obviously that ‘family’ doesn’t include Megyn!”
Kelly has told pals she’s already in talks to move back to FOX, said a source.
An insider added: “At FOX, Megyn was a princess. At NBC she feels isolated and alone. She’s not happy — and something has to give.”
