But soon after getting hitched, Meghan, who just announced she's expecting Harry's baby in the spring, set about renovating the stunning property and make it more stylish and child friendly for their future family.

"Harry got home one afternoon and there was a load of staff in pulling out the big screens, chairs and X boxes from the room, a source told RadarOnline.com. "Then the interior designers moved in to look over how a nursery is going to look in the context of the home.

"Harry's happy Meghan is pregnant, but knows it's going to be tough to have nowhere in his own home to really call his own and retreat to with his laddish pals, added the source.

Meghan took the dramatic action to scrap Harry's game room to make much-needed room for their soon-to-be growing family.

"It's a decent sized property but there are only two bedrooms and space is at a premium, noted the source, adding, "The property is one of the smallest on the royal estate and it may be something of a starter home for them. So Harry has to play his part and sacrifice his own personal space there.

The cottage was also once home to Princess Diana's sister, Lady Jane Fellowes and her husband Sir Robert Fellowes, the Queen's former secretary.

"Meghan has done an amazing job transforming Nottingham Cottages into a really classy but modern home for them and their future family so far, the source said.
