RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the city of Springdale in Arkansas is fighting to get Josh Duggar's latest privacy lawsuit dismissed because of its "absurd" claims.

RadarOnline.com reported in March that Jim Bob and Michelle's disgraced son filed a suit against both the city of Springdale and Washington County, Arkansas. Josh, 30, claimed the authorities illegally released documents alleging he sexually molested his sisters. In the shocking suit, Josh claimed he suffered from "emotional distress."

Now, the city of Springdale not only is asking for the judge to dismiss Josh's claims "in its entirety," but it also alleged Anna Duggar's husband's claims don't make sense.

The city argued that Josh contradicted himself by alleging he is a celebrity who expected privacy.

"Josh Duggar notes that he has a 'certain level of celebrity' and that he engaged in public life. Yet he claims that by appearing in a popular reality television series, being a leader in national, political, and civic organizations, and engaging in public speaking, he somehow was conducting himself in a manner consistent with an expectation of privacy," the documents stated.

The Arkansas city also claimed that, at the time the report about his alleged molestation was released, it was "already known to the public" because of a magazine report.

Additionally, the city claimed it is "absurd" that Josh believed the police report containing information about his alleged molestation would be destroyed on his 21st birthday.

The city said it is "doubtful" that the offense report would be subject to being destroyed. Plus, the city said the offense report was believed to be truthful.

"The City, as the alleged publisher of the Offense Report, had no reason to doubt the truth of information contained in a police investigation report and therefore cannot be liable under a claim for false light invasion of privacy," the document explained.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, this is Josh's second lawsuit pertaining to the release of paperwork alleging that Josh molested five women when he was a minor, two of which were his sisters.

The first lawsuit he filed was at the federal level and thrown out by a judge.

In the Oct. 19 filing, the city of Springdale said there is only one new claim in this recent lawsuit about Josh's invasion of privacy – but it "could have been litigated in the previous suit," the document stated.
