Jennifer Garner’s new boyfriend was “controlling” and “punishing,” his estranged wife claimed in court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com.

Caroline Campbell alleges her ex, multi-millionaire John Miller, used his position of power over her, leaving her to "grovel" and practically beg in order to see their children in court documents exclusively obtained by RadarOnline.com.

Miller, a lawyer and entrepreneur who also heads the international hamburger chain CaliBurger, filed for divorce from Campbell on June 29, 2011 after six years of marriage.

He and Garner, 46, have been quietly dating, Us Weekly first reported.

Miller, 40, and Campbell, 38, have two children together and they have been embroiled in a nasty court battle over their shared custody time with the kids.

According to Los Angeles Superior Court officials, Campbell and Miller agreed to finalize their divorce on Oct. 22, 2018, but the two are still married since the judge has yet to sign off on the documents.

In her Sept. 15, 2016 declaration, Campbell claimed Garner’s new boyfriend only insisted on equal custody primarily to avoid paying child support. Campbell, who is a violinist, said her ex was usually too busy with his various work commitments, leaving Miller's parents or former girlfriend to take care of the children.

"He takes the children when I am out of town working, but he does not allow me to have them when he is working in town and has others caring for our children," Campbell said in the affidavit.

"That serves his purpose, bolstering his position regarding child support issues and giving him the satisfaction of controlling me and punishing me for ending our marriage. It puts me in a position of begging him for the time back so I can care for our children the same amount of time that he (or more accurately, his family) does. I feel pressure to avoid doing anything that might upset him, and pressure to comply with whatever terms he imposes. John's unilateral imposition of a Right of First Refusal serves his personal purposes, but is not at all at the best interest of our children."

Miller asked the judge to change their initial custody agreement because he claimed Campbell traveled too often, which he claimed would disrupt the children's schedules when Campbell demanded to see them.

"These constant changes in the schedule are becoming especially problematic as the children get older, and have organized school and extracurricular activities, commitments, etc.," Miller wrote in his Sept. 12, 2017 declaration.

"Caroline's regular travels brings constant changes to the schedule to accommodate her 'make-up' time,” he continued in the court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.

Miller also said he had concerns about Campbell's mother, who sometimes took care of the children.

"On numerous occasions, I have voiced my concerns to Caroline regarding her mother's child caring methodologies, but Caroline has simply almost always ignored my communications on the subject," Miller said in the affidavit.

Campbell, however, claimed she has had to "keep the peace" in order to avoid the wrath of Miller's anger:

"By submitting this Declaration, I expect John to react with a full-blown character attack, false accusations, exaggerations and demeaning insinuations about me,” she said in the court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com.

“I am accustomed to this when I challenge him. However, my strong belief that the children will benefit from having a solid custodial schedule and more time with me than John has recently allowed is stronger than my fear of his retaliation."
