Heather Locklear's Wedding On Hold: 'Her Legal Issues Are Weighing On Her'

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Just a few short weeks after completing her stint in rehab, Heather Locklear's wedding to fiancé Chris Heisser is on hold, RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusively.

The troubled actress wasn't ready to give herself to another person until she completely took care of herself. "Heather wants to be in a healthy place mentally, emotionally and physically," spilled a source. "And that means staying sober."

According to the source, Locklear's potential time in lockup is also keeping her from saying "I do" anytime soon.

"Her legal issues are weighing on her," added the source. "So she doesn't want to rush in marriage at this point."

"She and Chris want to be together, but don't talk about wedding plans."

This is the latest setback for the unstable 57-year-old who was in treatment for three months after abusing prescription pills and alcohol.

Locklear, who's been married twice, was originally charged with five misdemeanor counts — four misdemeanor counts of battery on a peace officer and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest — after she allegedly bit her fiancé on the nose and hit and threatened Ventura County Sheriff's deputies and emergency responders who responded to a 911 call to her Westlake Village, California home in February.

A source previously told RadarOnline.com that her string of meltdowns only got worse after she would mix Adderall with alcohol.

In June, it was following a weekend of raging at Heisser, accusing him of cheating on her, that Heather attacked her father, tried to strangle her mother and threatened to kill herself. Police had to haul away the fallen '80s icon and she was committed to a psych ward.

Now she faces a whopping eight misdemeanor charges to which she has pleaded not guilty.

As RadarOnline.com reported, the former Mrs. Tommy Lee and Mrs. Richie Sambora, left rehab the first week in October and although she has no plans to start planning her own wedding anytime soon, she's more than ready to celebrate others wedded bliss.

Locklear was there to witness Heisser walk her future "beautiful" daughter-in-law Jordyn down the aisle at her own nuptials last weekend in Yosemite's Bandit Town USA where she was on her best behavior, RadarOnline.com learned exclusively.

"She didn't drink at all during the wedding weekend," said the source. "And she was sociable and wasn't hiding or keeping to herself. She seemed to enjoy all the fun and meeting the guests. And she and Chris seemed really in love."

It seems the former Melrose Place star also had a bridal glow of her own.

"She and Chris seemed really in love," added the informant. "She surprised a lot of guests with how healthy she looked and how happy she was."

"A few months ago she wouldn't have been able to handle going out of town, especially for a long weekend. Today she's different and is handling it all very well," said the source.
