Going Home: Heather Locklear Leaving Rehab This Week
Feb. 25 2019, Updated 11:39 a.m. ET
Heather Locklear is finally getting her freedom back.
After three months in rehab, the troubled star is going home, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
“She gets out of rehab this week,” said a source.
“Unless there is a last second change, which isn’t anticipated, she’ll be leaving.”
As RadarOnline.com previously reported exclusively, the 56-year-old was supposed to be released in September, but she decided to stay at the California treatment facility for an additional month.
The former Melrose Place actress has been sobering up since her violent arrest in June and now she faces a whopping eight misdemeanor charges to which she has pleaded not guilty.
Richie Sambora’s ex-wife was originally charged with five misdemeanor counts — four misdemeanor counts of battery on a peace officer and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest — after she allegedly bit her fiancé, Chris Heisser, on the nose and hit and threatened Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies and emergency responders who responded to a 911 call to her house on Feb. 25.
A source previously told RadarOnline.com that her string of meltdowns only got worse after she would mix the attention deficit disorder drug Adderall with alcohol.
Heather was committed to a psych ward against her will last summer. At the time, she had gone after cops who came to her house after she’d attacked her father, tried to strangle her mother and threatened to kill herself.
Now, with her homecoming imminent, family and friends are “optimistic and excited,” according to the source.
“They believe her long stay in treatment has helped her,” added the source.
