Al's Revenge! Roker To Temporarily Take Nemesis Megyn Kelly's 'Today' Job
Oct. 25 2018, Updated 5:53 p.m. ET
Al Roker will temporarily take Megyn Kelly's time slot at Today after she is ousted for her blackface comments, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.
The NBC show's longtime weatherman, 64 — who as RadarOnline.com previously reported, wanted Kelly fired for defending the racist practice on air earlier this week — is "thrilled," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"He was the host of this hour before he got dumped and replaced by Megyn," the source pointed out. "He's still pissed NBC dropped him in the first place, but happy to get his old hour back."
Before Kelly joined the Today family in 2017, Roker hosted the 9 am hour with Tamron Hall, who soon jumped ship and left the network.
NBC hasn't decided who will co-host with Roker, the source claimed, but added the network could choose Jenna Bush Hager.
According to reports, Kelly, 47, will not return to her job, and will negotiate her exit from the network on Friday alongside her high-powered attorneys.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported this morning, execs are in talks with Kelly Clarkson to replace Kelly's Today position in the long term.
The head honchos at the network "think it might be perfect time to give her Today time slot to Kelly, who has a huge fan base and is extremely well-liked and relatable," one source told RadarOnline.com.
