'The Talk's Sheryl Underwood Thinks Julie Chen 'Took The Easy Way Out' By Quitting

She's aired everyone else's dirty laundry on The Talk but when it comes to discussing what's in her backyard, she's staying mum. Julie Chen has left the daytime talk show, and RadarOnline.com can exclusively report that Sheryl Underwood, among other co-stars, is upset Chen didn't stay and discuss the sexual misconduct allegations against her husband on camera.

"Everybody's taking Julie's departure hard, especially Sheryl," a source to the legendary comedian told RadarOnline.com. "Sheryl's disappointed Julie didn't have the strength and courage to return to the show and talk about her husband and the accusations. That's what this show is all about, addressing the biggest issues of the day."

Underwood, 54, joined the show for its second season in 2011, and has co-hosted with Chen, 48, for eight seasons.

"Cheryl feels Julie took the easy way out but at the end of the day, understands Julie's in a tough position," the source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. "All the girls really feel for Julie and don't understand why she's still married to Les after the public and emotional humiliation he's put her through."

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Chen's husband and CEO of CBS Les Moonves was forced to resign earlier this month after sexual misconduct allegations were leveled against him.

On Tuesday, September 18, Chen announced she'd no longer be returning to the show, and told viewers she's choosing to be home and support her husband at this time.

In addition, RadarOnline.com exclusively reported Chen is leaving Big Brother.
