Preparing For Doomsday! Bill Cosby Ramps Up Security For Sentencing Dates

Bill Cosby's camp is hard at work putting together the perfect security detail for the disgraced comic as he faces his fate for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, RadarOnline can exclusively report.

Security for the shamed entertainer, 81, is expected to cost him a whopping $15,000 over the two-day sentencing period, according to an insider.

His security team will consist of former agents from the United States Secret Service, and experts in pin-pointing any potential threats, as Cosby is fearful an "extremist" may pull a stunt or attack him outside of the proceedings.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, a former Cosby Show guest star confronted the comedian during his retrial as he entered the court house in the early morning hours on April 9.

The court is also taking measures to maintain peace around the sentencing.

Judge O'Neill barred reporters and others from conducting interviews, press conferences or statements on the steps leading to the courthouse, ordering deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department to ensure the media only stand in a "grassy area" adjacent to the entrance ramp.

According to an insider at the court house, anywhere from 15 to 25 deputies will be present in the courtroom as the two-day hearing unravels, ultimately deciding whether or not Cosby will remain on house arrest or be ordered to prison.

The source noted that the entertainer's departure on Sept. 24 is expected to be the hardest of them yet — as it may be the final time the comic exits the corridors of the Montgomery County Courthouse.

If Cosby is not immediately remanded into custody on Sept. 25, the source revealed he will likely have a full police escort back to his home, similar to O.J. Simpson's exit from the Los Angeles courtroom following his murder trial.

The security precautions come just two weeks before the heavily anticipated sentencing hearing.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Cosby was found guilty on all counts of aggravated assault on April 26. He faces up to 30 years in prison for his crimes, and prosecutors will likely demand he serve at least 10 years, an insider said.
