Asia Argento 'Welcomes' Sex Assault Accuser Jimmy Bennett Filing Police Report
Asia Argento “welcomes” her sex assault accuser Jimmy Bennett filing a police report against her, as it is “in the spirit” of the #metoo movement, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
The controversial Italian actress has flipped the narrative on her sexual encounter with the former child star when he was 17 in 2013 to claim he sexually took advantage of her.
The 42-year-old mother of two had initially denied the whole incident, before a picture of them in bed together and texts between her and a friend publicly emerged.
The actress’ claims prompted Jimmy to claim he would file a police report for sex assault earlier today (Sept 5).
Responding to the news, her lawyer Mark Heller exclusively told RadarOnline.com: “In the spirit of Phase 2 of the #metoo movement, Asia is encouraging anyone who is a victim of sex assault, regardless of background, to pursue claims against the people they perceive as perpetrators.
“Asia invites and welcomes Bennett to come forward.

“She welcomes him to make the charge and is perfectly prepared to defend her reputation and herself against any criminal charges.”
Asia had previously arranged with her late boyfriend Anthony Bourdain to make a $380,000 payment to Bennett after he filed notice to sue her following their encounter at a Los Angeles hotel – payments which have stopped since Anthony’s death in June.
Heller added: “She was the victim and at the time chose not to prosecute him. There is one reason and one reason alone that he’s coming forward now — the money he extracted from Bordain has stopped. His knee jerk reaction is to start making allegations.”
Asia was one of the first accusers of disgraces movie mogul Harvey Weinstein to come forward and accuse him of raping her, alongside Rose McGowan, who has distanced herself from Asia since the news of her tryst with Bennett was revealed.
